Being Beautifully You
The question was raised recently, “Why do we not pray first?” Is it that born into instinctive, self effort, I can do it myself attitude that we as humans all share? We all secretly desire to be special and set apart. Funny thing is… actually the miraculous thing is, WE ALREADY ARE, we just don’t realize it. From the very moment we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have everything Jesus on the inside of us. now we just need to manifest all of those things to the outside, revealed in our day to day lives. How do we do that? Let’s start by confessing out loud the promises of our heritage that God has freely given us. Here’s the formula; Say it, proclaim it, believe it and receive it!
Let’s get a little closer to it.…
Say it-“I am God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus.” You see, by confessing out loud who we are in Christ Jesus, literally speaking in an audible voice, our minds re-write the neural pathways in our brains to adhere to the truth, according to the Word of God. (1 cORINTHIANS 1:30)
Proclaim it-tell someone else, professing what you asked for as if you have it already. “God is providing it.” (pHILLIPIANS 4:19)
Believe it-Know and be convinced that God can and will provide within His perfect will. Faith the size of a mustard seed. (lUKE 17:6)
Receive it-Literally say “Thank you Father, I receive and thank you for providing”, even before you have it in the physical. (mATTHEW 21:22)
Jesus spoke in Matthew instructing us:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone that asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:7-14
In this scripture we learn just how much our Father cares about our simplest needs as well as each of our heart’s desires. We open our hearts to His when we open our mouths in conversation with our Abba Father. His purpose in creating us is for relationship and nothing delights Him more than to spend time in conversation with His children. Can you see it? Can you envision yourself climbing into the most cuddly, warmest, cozy lap of the Father with His arms wrapped around you, snuggled in close to His chest?
ThIS INTIMATE embrace of our Father’s love is exactly how we need to begin each of our days, reassured that His favor, EVEN though we do not deserve it, has been given freely through salvation in Christ Jesus and we carry it with us always.
Be Blessed.
